Construction Update - 3/27/2020

The HSRB – II job site is continuing to perform work on site under modified site rules that take into account the latest recommendations from the CDC. The team will continue as long as project management feels that everyone on the job site can continue to do so safety. Week #2 of the slowdown presented new challenges with the shutdown/shelter- in-place order by the City of Atlanta. They are:

  1. No inspections by City of Atlanta of work underway. We are working around this by having 3rd party inspectors document the work in place under an agreement with our C of A building inspector.

  2. City of Atlanta is closed so we are unable to pay some permitting fee’s for plans recently submitted for review. We are reaching out to C of A for a work around.

Emory, JeDunn (the contractor) and HOK (the architects) are working to keep moving forward but are still assessing the short and long term impacts to the overall construction schedule resulting from the delays caused by the unusually wet weather, delays to the start of blasting resulting from reviews required by CSX railroad and now the COVID-19 Pandemic. Updates will continue to be posted to this web site. This past week's (3/23/20 to 3/228/20) scheduled work activities:
