Construction Update - 4/15/22
The traffic flow restrictions and lane reductions along Haygood Drive between Clifton and Ridgewood Drive that began on Tuesday 3/2/22 are the results of a DeKalb County Water line installation project.
This work is being managed by DeKalb County and not Emory’s Planning, Design, and Construction Department.
We are told that weather permitting the project will take between 6 – 8 weeks and will be completed prior to Emory’s Graduation weekend activities.
This past week's (4/11/22 to 4/16/22) scheduled work activities:
Installation of wood doors on offices and curtain wall glass continues.
Final trim out of Cyclotron continues.
Installation of ceiling tiles.
Installation of casework continues.
Stonehard Application underway in Aquatics Suite
Plumbing Fixture Installation continues.
7T Electrical Equipment installation continues.
Atrium Rough in Continues.
7T MRI Suite RF Shielding and wall build out continues.
Installation of Fixed casework is underway.
Carpet Installation in North Offices and in Wet lab write up areas.
Atrium Electrical rough in continues.
Final Coat of Paint North wing.
Installation of Sterilizer Canopy hood is completed
Installation of shelves and casework continues.
Fixture and Device trim out continues.
Fume Hood MEP Connections are underway.
Installation of drywall framing is underway at monumental stairs.
Balcony Exterior Ceiling framing underway up to LV 3.
Installation and connections at Controlled cold rooms are underway.
Installation of plumbing hook up to Sterilizers continues.
Framing of drywall atrium soffit is underway.
Handrail shoe installation continues in East Atrium Stair area.
Silicone on Fire rated frames is installed.
Installation of Controlled Environmental room continues.
Air Distribution installation continues.
Installation of Glass handrails is completed up to Level 5.
Electrical ACT Rough in and trim out is underway.
Installation of ACT grid has begun on South wing.
Prime and 1st coat of paint is being applied South wing,
Work continues on the interior of the skylight.
Installation of Terracotta tiles on exterior of mechanical penthouses continues.
Installation of metal panels on the interior and exterior parapet walls continues.
TPO & mod- bit roof installation continues.
Marble installation continues on South & SW Façade of South Tower @ MC #7, & #12.
Installation of granite continues on the North elevation of building.
HSRB – I Vivarium Expansion:
Wall Prep for Stonhard installation is underway.
Overhead MEP rough in continues.
Installation of utility connections to HSRB – I continue.
Installation of trees on plaza level continues.
