With COVID-1, the HSRB – II job site is continuing to perform work on site under modified site rules that take into account the latest recommendations from the CDC. We will continue as long as we feel that everyone on the job site can continue to do so safety. Our construction manager JE Dunn has reduced their on site management team drastically, all meetings are now being conducted using Skype or Zoom until further notice. 2 site superintendents are on site daily in the field.
This past week's (3/16/20 to 3/20/20) scheduled work activities:
Blasts were conducted on Monday & Wednesday.
Electrical duct bank installation continued at generator yard.
Pouring of footing and erection of base for the tower crane took place.
Excavation of G-2 level was completed.
Pouring of first section of footing for G2 level began
Installation of new fire water main across HSRB – I loading dock began.
Next week's (3/23/20 to 3/28/20) scheduled work activities:
Tie in of new relocated fire main water line for HSRB – I will occur on 3/23/20 7AM – 7PM.
Drilling and rock removal is schedule to take place weather permitting.
Mass excavation of G-1 level will continue.
Erection of project tower crane will begin on Friday, 3/27/2020 @ 12:00 PM with the arrival and set up of the 360 ton mobile crane that will be used to erect the main tower crane. The erection activities for the main crane will begin on Saturday 3/28 morning until the afternoon of Sunday, 3/29/2020.
Long term look ahead activities:
Potholing in Haygood drive for new sanitary line installation is on hold because we are waiting on City of Atlanta permit to work in Haygood.
